A local family that went out all out for Christmas won a national competition Monday night.
Husband and wife Dale Ryan and Dyanah Musgrave of Boulder City were featured on ABC's show "The Great Christmas Light Fight."
The couple has been decking out their house for 13 years. They make it bigger and better each year.
In Monday night's show, the couple was up against three other couples across the country. ABC crews spent multiple days with each family shooting for the show.
Ryan says this year's production took him two months total. He says each light and attraction means something special.
"Everything that I build has a special meaning to me," Ryan said. "Somebody has inspired me in some way of all the different attractions that I build."
Ryan and his wife had tears in their eyes many times Monday night. They both agreed their masterpiece is for the Boulder City community.
"I know there's a nice big paycheck out there," he said. "It's not about the money. It is just what we can do for the community."
The couple won a trophy and $50,000.
Their house is located at 1525 5th St. in Boulder City. The home is lit up each night until about 9 p.m.
