LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Lee Canyon is officially open for the winter.
In a Facebook post, the ski resort said Rabbit Peak will open Friday, with other slopes opening soon. This comes after the area has seen about six inches of snowfall in the past couple days.
13 Action News spoke with NHP about the conditions for anybody wanting to head up the mountain this weekend.

"Every year this happens, where people get stuck on the roadways, and emergency vehicles can't get through to any emergencies that are going on," says Trooper Jason Buratczuk. "So come out here and enjoy the mountain, but you're going to need a four wheel drive or snow tires."
