Sheriff Joe Lombardo says not to expect a motive to be found in the final 1 October reports that will be released in July.

"Lombardo made the announcement while speaking at a luncheon for the Republican Men’s Club at the Bali Hai Golf Club, less than 2 miles from where a gunman opened fire Oct. 1 from a 32nd-floor Mandalay Bay suite, killing 58 people and injuring hundreds more," wrote the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Rio Lacanlale.

"The sheriff said he anticipates the release of the report by the end of July, with the release of the FBI’s behavioral analysis report close behind it."

That means many people's biggest question, why did the shooter choose the Route 91 festival, will remain unanswered.

Another set of documents are scheduled to come out today, June 6, and those may help shine a little more light on the events that occurred that night.

We've already seen reports from people in attendance. One report even featured a statement from Jason Aldean, the performer on stage when the shots rang out.
