It's good news for a survivor of the 1 October mass shooting in Las Vegas.
Jason McMillan, who is a sheriff's deputy in California, was shot protecting his girlfriend, Ella. He stood in front of her and spread his arms so that he was the bigger target.
McMillan was shot in the chest. As a result, he was paralyzed.
However, his doctors are optimistic that he will walk again. He is scheduled to resume physical therapy after the holidays.
