A victim of the 1 October shooting was honored by the Henderson schools he attended on Wednesday.

Family, friends and representatives from Clark County School District schools recognized Quinton Robbins, a B. Mahlon Brown Academy of International Studies and Basic Academy of International Studies graduate.

Robbins was a student-athlete at both schools, who continued to contribute to the schools and community after he graduated from high school in 2015.

A special ceremony was held in his honor prior to the basketball game between Brown and Lyal Burkholder Middle Schools at Brown Academy, located at 307 N. Cannes Street.

During the ceremony, Robbins’ No. 3 jersey was retired, although it will be worn for the remainder of the season by his younger brother, who is a member of the school’s basketball team.
