Highs this afternoon in the 50s will be the chilliest weather we've seen since March!

The forecast high of 58° is 2° above the record cool high temperature for the date of 56° set in 1951.
Average highs in late October are in the mid-70s, so this is nearly 20° colder than normal.
Gusts will hit 40 mph today in Las Vegas, where a Wind Advisory is in place, and 60 mph gusts are forecast on Lake Mead and down the Colorado River Valley, so a High Wind Warning has been issued.

A Red Flag Warning for elevated fire danger is also in effect.
These products will expire at 9 p.m., and winds will drop under 20 mph fairly quickly after 7 p.m. in Las Vegas.
There's a Freeze Warning outside the Las Vegas valley tonight because places like Mesquite and Indian Springs may drop to the low 30s for the first time this season.
