Las Vegas ranks among top cities for rent growth

Las Vegas residents have recognized that rent continues to rise around the valley with it jumping significantly over the past three years.

According to Apartment List, Las Vegas is ranked 5th among the 100 largest cities in 2018 with a year-over-year rent growth of 4.9 percent.

In 2017, Las Vegas ranked No. 26 with 4.1 percent growth while in 2016, the city ranked No. 36 and in 2015, No. 46. 

Apartment List reports the Las Vegas median two-bedroom rent in 2018 is $1,134 while in Nevada, it is $1,087. The year-over-year rent growth in Nevada is 3.9 percent.
