LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Four people are injured following a two-vehicle collision that also struck a pedestrian on South Maryland Parkway Friday afternoon.

At approximately 4:17 p.m., Las Vegas police say a black 2017 Nissan Frontier pick-up was traveling southbound on Maryland Parkway, south of East Tropicana Avenue, in the dedicated left turn lane to turn eastbound into a private drive.

Northbound traffic in the three through-travel lanes stopped to allow the Nissan Frontier to make the turning movement. A black 2015 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Maryland Parkway, utilizing the storage lane as a through-travel lane.

The front of the Toyota Camry struck the right side of the Nissan Frontier, causing the Nissan Frontier to rotate clockwise and contact a pedestrian walking in the private property parking lot on the east side of Maryland Parkway.

Police say arriving emergency medical personnel transported the pedestrian to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while both the Nissan Frontier and Toyota Camry drivers remained at the collision scene.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan Frontier were transported to Sunrise hospital for claimed minor injuries, while the driver of the Toyota Camry was transported to University Medical Center Trauma for minor injuries.

According to an accident report, the driver of the Toyota Camry displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for DUI-related charges.

The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section.
