UPDATE NOV. 12: The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased bicyclist as 65-year-old Richard Edward Marcus. His cause of death was blunt force injuries and it was ruled an accident.
UPDATE: Police say a 65-year-old bicyclist is dead after being struck by a 23-year-old driver near Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue.
The driver reportedly lost control of his car and ran into the bicyclist. The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver did not show any signs of impairment. The collision is still under investigation.
This is the 83rd traffic fatality of the year in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction.
The coroner will identify the deceased.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly crash between a vehicle and a person near Paradise Road and St. Louis Avenue.
Both lanes are closed as the investigation continues. Avoid the area.
