A Las Vegas police patrol vehicle was hit during a chase in downtown Las Vegas Thursday afternoon.
Police were attempting to pull over a stolen black Ford F150 at 9th Street and Odgen Avenue. The truck, which had two occupants in it, began to flee when it hit a patrol vehicle.
Police pursued the vehicle. During the chase, the man and woman inside the truck threw out a weapon.
The truck then crashed near Bonanza Road and Eastern Avenue. Both occupants fled on foot before they were taken into custody a short distance from the crash.
Medical personnel responded to the scene for minor injuries. No officers were injured during the incident.
The incident was reported around 4:50 p.m.
The area near Bonanza Road and Eastern Avenue was shut down for about two hours while police investigated.
