LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said officers arrested 35 drivers during a DUI blitz on Super Bowl Sunday.
Officers focused on the agency’s Southeast and Southcentral area commands.

The blitz resulted in 162 stops, 58 citations and 35 DUI arrests.
Law enforcement from Las Vegas, Henderson, Clark County School District and Nevada Highway Patrol assisted on Sunday, including two phlebotomists.

Police officers said their message was simple: don't drink and drive or you'll get caught.
The North Las Vegas Police Department also reported four DUI arrests were made in its patrol area on Sunday.

More than 30 officers were involved, including the DUI Strike Team, in the multi-agency effort.
