LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Thousands of people flocked to Las Vegas and took to the streets to celebrate the end of 2020 on Thursday night.
This year has been one many will not forget for the good reasons and the bad.

13 Action News had crews on the Las Vegas Strip and in downtown Las Vegas at the Plaza hotel-casino for their midnight fireworks show.
Here is how the last night of 2020 went down in Las Vegas.

NOON JAN. 1
Las Vegas police say they made a total of 36 arrests during last nights New Year’s Eve celebrations on the Strip and Fremont St. Of those, 10 were for felonies and 26 were for misdemeanors.
9 A.M. Jan. 1
Nevada Highway patrol says they arrested 36 motorists on suspicion of driving under the influence and responded to 2 wrong-way driver calls.

Las Vegas police report they have made 26 total arrests on the Strip so far on New Year's Eve and in the downtown Fremont area with nine of those for felonies and 17 misdemeanors.

The Plaza hotel-casino in downtown Las Vegas celebrates 2021 with a midnight fireworks show.

13 Action News continues its team coverage from the Las Vegas Strip to downtown in the final hour of New Year's Eve 2020.
10:50 P.M.
Las Vegas police report they have made 11 arrests on the Strip so far tonight with three of those for felonies and eight misdemeanors. Authorities say no arrests have been made in the downtown Fremont area at this time.
