LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The family of Sydney Land is holding another event today in front of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
It has been almost 4 years since 21-year-old Land was killed along with 20-year-old Nehemiah “Neo” Kauffman at an apartment near Flamingo Road and Hualapai Way. The killer has never been caught.

Convicted felon Shane Valentine has been an on-again, off-again person of interest for the 2016 unsolved murder.
Valentine had a connection with the murdered man. He was accused of shooting up the Kaufman family home about 20 days before the double homicide.
Valentine was also accused of attempting to lure the daughter of a judge into prostitution.
Las Vegas Justice of the Peace Melanie Tobiasson also has a connection to the case because she expressed her concerns about Valentine and began her own unauthorized investigation.

The murdered woman’s mother has done everything she can over the years to keep the case alive.
She has offered rewards, paid for billboards around the valley.
