At least 1,000 people braved Monday's record heat to march along the Las Vegas Strip to remember the 49 people killed in Orlando last week.

The march got started around 8 p.m. from Fashion Show Mall to The Cosmopolitan hotel-casino.

Organizers said the hotel even opened some venues so the marchers could hold a rally to remember the Pulse Nightclub victims.

"I think it helps the community as a whole, regardless of the city you reside in. This particular act touched the entire community, whether you are part of the LGBTQ community, whether you are an ally, you were touched."

Thousands of bottles of water were also donated by 7-Eleven, Whole Foods, The Cosmopolitan and Caesars Entertainment.
