Las Vegas Bowl to mark 25th year honoring 3 hall inductees
Posted
The Las Vegas Bowl is marking its 25th year by inducting of one of its earliest backers, a standout player and a six-time broadcaster of the game into its hall of fame.

Bowl chief John Saccenti identifies the trio of honorees as founding father and R&R Partners executive Rob Dondero; former California running back and Super Bowl champion Marshawn Lynch; and ESPN and ABC broadcaster Brent Musburger.

They'll be honored at the annual kickoff luncheon Dec. 16 and at the game on Dec. 17 at Sam Boyd Stadium.

The game pits the top choice from the Mountain West Conference against the sixth pick from the Pac-12.

A sellout crowd of 42,000 people saw No. 22 Utah defeat BYU last year.

Previous hall inductees are former players Steven Jackson of Oregon State and Anthony Calvillo of Utah State; former UNLV head coach John Robinson; and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority executive Rossi Ralenkotter.
