The Bank of Nevada is offering new Clark County School District teachers interest-free loans.
As the school district continues to fill hundreds of vacant teaching positions, many incoming educators are coming from out of state. Although there are no restrictions on how each teacher uses their $1,000 loan, many may use the funds to cover relocation costs, initial rent or mortgage payments, credit card bills, or even to purchase classroom supplies.
This is the first time Bank of Nevada has provided this kind of interest-free loan to teachers on such a large scale.
To date, 135 new, incoming CCSD teachers have taken advantage of the interest-free loan opportunity.
