Lake Mead officials warn visitors to stay on trails to avoid risk of drowning

(KTNV) — In an effort to keep us all safe in the event of flooding.

Site inspections are happening along the Las Vegas Wash from October 25 to the 26.

Lake Mead park officials say that will include a series of "low flow" and "high flow events" which could lead to flash flooding.

They are asking people stay on the trails, and do not enter the wash because of the risk of drowning.
