The Vegas Golden Knights season may be over, but some are saying the team has brought more locals to the Las Vegas Strip.
"I think [normally] we just go when we have family in town," says one Knights fan Jasmine Rubio. "Other than that, locals tend to stay away from the strip. But ever since they've come, we've gone a lot more than usual."
During the team's incredible run for a Stanley Cup, many locals caught Knights fever and wanted to be a part of it, going to Toshiba Plaza and other MGM properties near the arena.
13 Action News reached out to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to see if they had noticed an increase in locals going to the strip. They say they don't track local visitation, but they did say past studies have shown if locals visit a casino, the majority of them visit one on the Strip.
