Kitten stolen from Henderson adoption event

Some people will steal anything they can get their paws on. Even if it's an adorable kitten.

That's what happened this past Saturday evening after a pet adoption event at PetSmart on Eastern Avenue and Russell Road.

"Someone cut the zip-ties that were securing a couple of the cages together, removed a kitten and left," said Carol Fox who is with Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions of Las Vegas.

The missing kitten is a 3-month-old named Reese. Reese has a chipped ear tip, which means he is neutered.

Fox says she is especially worried because Reese hasn't had all his vaccinations yet.

Homeward Bound Cat Adoptions is offering a reward of $500 for Reese's safe return. They are also asking for any help in tracking down the thief who stole him.
