LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — There was a big turnout of young voices protesting for black lives matter this afternoon.
11-year-old Kumei, of Tofu Tees, started the kids against racism rally that took place at Craig Ranch Regional Park.
Hundreds of children met at the park with their families holding signs and shouting black lives matter.
Kumei said she was watching the news with her parents and felt many emotions.
That's when she knew she wanted to do something for other kids to be able to express their emotions as well.
They provided poster boards and markers to let kids be creative and make the signs they wanted.
Kumei's family originally anticipated about 100 kids, however, they tell 13 Action News the crowd was estimated about 500.
