Two powerful unions connected to the Clark County School District are raising concerns regarding the controversial ban of CCSD Trustee Kevin Child from school district property.

The union leading school administrators called Superintendent Pat Skorkowsky's directive inappropriate and overboard.

The general counsel for the Clark County School District Police Association tells Contact 13, they union has major concerns on how to handle the ban on Child.

"The association is concerned because it does not want any of its officers, getting a call or directive from the superintendent or a school administer, to arrest an elected trustee. It's unfair to the hardworking officers, and sergeants, of the Clark County School District to be placed into that position. The officers do not report to the superintendent, they report to the Chief of Police."

Trustee Child attended the regularly scheduled school board meeting Thursday. Superintendent Skorkowsky was not in attendance, due to a scheduled day off.
