Customers ask 13 Action News to investigate Las Vegas photographer

Numerous customers have been contacting 13 Action News about a Las Vegas valley photography business. They say it takes weeks, or even months, to get their pictures back, even after they've already paid.

Brianna Kibler hired Tiffany's Studio Photography to do her maternity photos and her son's newborn photos. Pleased with the results, Kibler said she had another shoot with Tiffany on April 8 -- Easter pictures.

"She said that she was going to be able to get me the photos before Easter so I could send them out," said Kibler.

Weeks passed, and Kibler said she never got the photos after paying about $150 for them.

"That's bill money," Kibler said. "Bills are paid and you set that money aside to get pictures done and create memories. Those were our first family portraits that were supposed to be done with my son."

13 Action News went to three different addresses for Tiffany's Studio Photography, but no one answered. We also called her on the phone, but no one answered. Then, she sent 13 Action News a Facebook message saying Kibler is lying, and she had the photos the whole time. But Kibler said she only got them after we started investigating.

"Then to find out that this has happened to so many people, there's people waiting who've gotten their pictures out a year ago, got their pictures done a year ago and still have nothing to show for it," Kibler said.

Despite Tiffany's claims Kibler is not telling the truth, 13 Action News got a bunch of other emails with similar complaints.

"Not delivering what is promised to her clients. Dozens of dozens couples/families have been taken advantage of," said Brittnee Kern.

"I was on her page today and there was 3 different people saying they couldn't wait to get their packages and I just feel bad for them," said Brenda Olsen. "I would be so heartbroken if I had a newborn or a wedding planned and I never received my photos. Not ok at all!"

"Las Vegas local popular newborn, maternity, and wedding photographer Tiffany Gain, owner of 'Tiffany Studios Photography' or 'Tiffany photographs' as she has changed her business name on Facebook, has been scamming and letting down kind people during the most important milestones of their lives," said Nicole. "Tiffany will provide tempting deals and great service at first, but once it is time to produce the products they are disappointing, missing, or several months undelivered."

What can you do to protect yourself? Check for ratings online. Tiffany's Studio Photography has numerous one-star ratings on Yelp. Crosscheck that with the Better Business Bureau. Tiffany's Studio Photography has an F grade from the BBB.

Also make sure businesses you deal with have a license. 13 Action News checked online and could not find a business license in Clark County or the city of Las Vegas under Tiffany's name.
