13 Days of Giving concluded on Dec. 17 with the giveaway of thousands of toys to parents and their children at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission on West Bonanza Road.
Prior to the giveaway, toys were collected at the television station and various other locations around the valley. We also received several cash donations that was used during a big shopping trip to a local Target store.
Sponsors for the collection and giveaway were Findlay Toyota, Zippy Shell, Nevada Coin Mart, Las Vegas paving Corp. and AAA.
Our official partner was Nevada Highway Patrol.
The team from Good Morning Las Vegas -- Dayna Roselli, Greg Bennett and Todd Quinones -- joined our sponsors and partner at the giveaway at the rescue mission.
Several station employees and various volunteers from companies around the valley were also at the giveaway to help distribute the toys to the children and parents who attended.
As part of 13 Days of Giving, we gave more than 1,200 children toys and gifts. Families also received blankets, socks and other basic necessities.
