Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday.
Firefighters found smoke coming from the attic of a one-story home at 909 Salem Drive, near Charleston and Jones boulevards. After forcing their way inside, firefighters discovered flames inside a bedroom and had the fire out in less than six minutes.
Damage was estimated at $30,000. The exact cause of the fire is undetermined.
While the house was occupied, no one was home at the time of the fire.
There were no reported injuries.
