LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Horses make great friends because they mirror and respond to human behavior.
Spirit Therapies is where those who are broken can heal with their equine therapy assistance program.
Six young inner-city boys from Casa De Luz took a trip to Spirit Therapies to find healing.
Casa De Luz is a faith based community center mentoring inner-city youth from low income, high-crime neighborhoods in the valley.
Giving hope and opportunity is their mission at Spirit Therapies and they use horses to heal as their method.
"We are giving these kids the opportunity to touch, feel and love on horses and have that reciprocated back to them," Laurie Willmott, Founder of Spirit Therapies said.
Spirit Therapies and Casa De Luz are hoping to continue this partnership and Spirit Therapies also offers various programs to veterans and those with disabilities.
