Nevada's largest LGBTQ organization hosted the 25th Anniversary Honorarium at Red Rock Resort, Casino & Spa on Saturday.

The event was all about honoring those who pave the way and continue to give back to the LGBTQ community in Las Vegas.

“Our goal here is to make sure that our doors stay open and that we’ll always be that welcoming home for the LGBTQ community," says Joe Oddo, The Center.

The night kicked off with this silent auction benefiting The Center.

After, over five hundred attendees gathered inside the Summerlin Ballroom for food, drinks and a ceremony, recognizing those making strides in the local LGBTQ community.

Award recipients included Jake Ralston, receiving the Visibility Award.

Ralston took the stage to say it's okay to be who you are.

“It’s all about pride, you have to be proud of who you are, the community that you’re a part of," says Ralston.

Others honored included Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons, accepting the Allies of the Year award on behalf of the band.

Moving forward, The Center hopes they can do what they have done for decades- continuing to serve as a beacon of light for the community.

“I want them to walk away with a sense of being proud that the center is here, a sense of accomplishment that they’re a part of something bigger and a sense of family that they are with us moving forward," says Oddo.

The Honorarium is The Center’s largest fundraiser that happens in the entire year.
