A North Las Vegas woman is distraught after a hit-and-run destroyed the car her father gifted her before he passed away.

In a residential neighborhood near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Cheyenne Avenue, there have been several cases of hit and runs. The damage has been caused by cars turning at high speeds and crashing into parked vehicles. The latest incident so happened to be caught on film.

The video shows a car zooming around the corner of the street and slamming into Jessica Borland's parked Mustang. The driver then drives away without much worry.

"I can't imagine. I can't imagine who would come through the neighborhood like that and hit the car move the car a couple feet and not even brake and keep going," said Borland.

The Mustang was a gift from Borland's father before he passed away and holds a great deal of sentimental value. She says she will now have to replace the vehicle.
