Hiker rescued on Lone Mountain after overheating

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The unseasonably hot weather is already having an impact on hikers.

Las Vegas firefighters had to rescue someone on Lone Mountain over the weekend.

The National Weather Service has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, effective between 8 a.m. on Tuesday through 10 p.m. on Thursday.

If you do go outside, experts warn to drink plenty of water and take breaks from the heat in the shade or in air conditioned buildings.
