The southwest end of the valley can expect winds at 20-30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 45 miles per hour.
Winds up to 50-60 miles per hour can be expected in the higher terrain of Inyo County, California.
Residents are advised to secure any temporary structures and loose objects. Drivers should use caution while traveling and be prepared for sudden crosswinds and areas of reduced visibility due to blowing dust.
