McCarran International Airport is reporting that it is experiencing delays for departing aircraft between 31 and 45 minutes because of the wind.
Arriving aircraft are experiencing delays of about 15 minutes.
According to 13 Action News meteorologist Dan Bronis, a gust of 61 mph was reported near Charleston Boulevard and the 215 beltway at 3:35 p.m.
We are also receiving reports of high wind in other parts of the valley. A wind advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. Thursday.

Winter's Village at Green Valley Ranch has also closed for the evening. According to their tweet, ice skating and 50 mph winds are not a good mix.
