LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Henderson honored veterans on Veterans Day by renaming a post office in their honor.
The South Boulder Highway Post Office will now be known as The Henderson Veterans Memorial Post Office.
Rep. Susie Lee and several other lawmakers were at the dedication ceremony Monday morning. The renaming was a result of a bill Lee sponsored that was signed into law back in August.
The City of Henderson has a distinguished military history. During World War II, the city built a plant to make engines, airplane frames, and other items needed for the war effort.
