About 300 workers are about to be out of a job in the Las Vegas valley.

Unilever is closing its Henderson plant.

The company says it is closing its facility on Aug. 30 and will move the Henderson operations to other locations in the U.S.

Unilever makes ice cream and frozen novelties for brands including Ben and Jerry’s, Breyers, Magnum, Popsicle, Good Humor and Klondike.

Unilever has not explained why it is closing the plant but says it will help the affected workers.
