RENO, Nev. (AP) — RENO, Nev. (AP) — A federal judge has ruled against two Nevada churches that claimed the state’s COVID-19-related restrictions on religious gatherings were unconstitutional. Judge Richard Boulware II denied requests Tuesday from one church in Lyon County and another in Las Vegas that sought temporary injunctions to void the state’s 50-person cap church services attendance. Lawyers for Calvary Chapel Dayton Valley in Dayton and Calvary Chapel Lone Mountain in Las Vegas argued they were being treated unfairly compared to casinos and other businesses. The judge said there’s not enough evidence to warrant an injunction at this time.
