LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A former student at Walter Johnson High School hacked into a virtual classroom on Monday, according to the Clark County School District Police Department.
Walter Johnson High School is located near Alta and Buffalo.

Sgt. Bryan Zink says the hacker interrupted a class, made violent threats to the school, and logged off.
It’s not clear how the former student was able to hack into the system.
A report was taken and the incident is under investigation, Zink said.

The hacking incident was not the only technical trouble the district faced as thousands of students logged in for the first day of distance learning.
Canvas, an online learning app, experienced a nationwide outage.
Canvas said it worked with the Clark County School District to resolve the problem.
