LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — University police in the Las Vegas valley have been awarded a grant for more than $12,000.
The money is meant to upgrade safety near UNLV and CSN.
This announcement comes as UNLV, Clark County School District school police and other agencies are putting chalk outlines of bodies in and outside of crosswalks.
The university did not say this grant has anything to do with the project, but the money will be used to fund a yearlong awareness campaign about the dangers of distractions while using public roadways.
