Gov.-elect Steve Sisolak will be sworn in Jan. 7 as the governor of Nevada.

Sisolak and his wife will attend mass at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church in Carson City at 9 a.m.

The inauguration ceremony will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Sisolak, constitutional officers, and justices of the Nevada Supreme Court will be sworn in to office in a ceremony on the steps of the Nevada State Capitol. The ceremony will include musical entertainment, distinguished guests, and remarks by the newly-inaugurated governor.

A reception will be held following the ceremony in the lobby of the Nevada State Library & Archives.

Sisolak is expected to deliver his first State of the State address at 6 p.m. Jan. 16 in the Assembly Chambers of the Nevada Legislature.

Prior to being elected as governor, Sisolak spent a decade on the Clark County Commission. He defeated Republican Attorney General Adam Laxalt in November.
