A 16-year-old girl is in critical, but stable condition after she was struck by a vehicle in northwest Las Vegas Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred around 2:30 p.m. near Campbell and Elkhorn roads. Police said a Ford F-150 was traveling eastbound on Elkhorn Road when the teen crossed the path of the truck, which then hit the girl. She was not walking in a marked crosswalk.
The girl was transported to UMC Trauma.
The 42-year-old driver remained at the scene of the crash and did not show any signs of impairment.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department Fatal Detail is investigating the crash.
