Former LVCVA leader avoids felony charges

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A former leader of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has avoided felony charges.

Rossi Ralenkotter pleaded no contest to misuse of tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars to purchase air travel gift cards.

PREVIOUS: Audit finds LVCVA boss used airline gift cards for personal travel

Ralenkotter will pay around $18,000 in restitution to the LVCVA.

He's also been ordered by a judge to pay a $1,000 fine.
