LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas area officials have some traffic updates for those looking to take a day trip to Red Rock Canyon or Mount Charleston on Christmas Eve.
Red Rock Canyon Scenic Loop is open, according to officials at the conservation area, after morning floods caused road closures in the area.
As of noon, the Regional Transportation Commission said water remained on the roadway at Red Rod Canyon Road heading westbound after Calico Basin Road. Drivers are told to use caution in the area.
The road was closed for several hours due to flooding in the morning.
