LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — On Saturday night, the new Vegas Golden Knights head coach was at T-Mobile Arena for his first Las Vegas game.

“We’ll see what he can do for Vegas,” says one fan.

New coach Peter DeBour entered the fortress after last month former head coach Gerard Gallant and assistant coach Mike Kelly were fired from the team.

It was a loss felt by fans at Saturday’s game.

“He took us all the way to the Stanley Cup first year, second year we went to the Stanley cup, and halfway through the third year they axed him," says one fan.

Coach Peter DeBour was fired from the San Jose Sharks in December after four seasons.

The Knights lost to the Carolina Hurricanes 6-5 on Saturday.
