LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Clark County Fire Department is investigating a fire involving three homes under construction Friday night.

According to the agency, crews responded to 8754 Whistling Sands Avenue, near Spring Mountain Road and Durango Drive, shortly before 7:30 p.m. after multiple 9-1-1 callers reported a new construction site on fire.

An F3H high-level fire response was dispatched, including four engines, one ladder truck, one rescue, two battalion chiefs, and one air resource unit.

Arriving crews found a fully-involved home under construction and the two adjacent homes under construction had started to burn.

Fire crews made an aggressive offensive attack on the two partially-involved homes first and then extinguished the fully involved home.

The fire was declared to be knocked down shortly before 8 p.m.

The fire was contained within the affected homes and did not extend into the adjacent construction.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

No fire-related injuries are reported. Estimated damages are $400,000.
