LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — They're an important part of the family and making sure your pets are healthy can sometimes be a challenge.
February is National Pet Dental Health Month and according to the American Veterinary Dental Society, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over the age of three already have dental disease, making it the number one health issue in pets.
Dr. Ruth MacPete, veterinarian and author of a children's book, shared several ways to keep your pets' teeth clean that include the warning signs to pay attention to and dental care chews that work.
