Nevada Highway Patrol was called to the scene of a fatal incident near the 215 beltway and Sahara Avenue on Thursday morning.
The incident was reported at 9:57 a.m.
Nevada Highway Patrol said a 54-year-old man was pulled over to the side of the road with the hood open up on his Hyundai Genesis.
For some unknown reason, he stepped onto the road and into the path of a commercial truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Clark County coroner identified the man on Friday as 54-year-old Paul Lopez from Las Vegas.
