Family Support Division open Saturday to help with cases

The Family Support Division of the Clark County District Attorney’s Office is opening its doors outside of normal business hours, hosting a one-day event to assist non-custodial parents with their child support cases.

On Saturday, DA Family Support staff will be on-hand from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Child Support Center of Southern Nevada, located at 1900 E. Flamingo Road, Suite 100, to meet with parents about their individual cases.

Non-custodial parents who have had their driver’s license suspended, or are currently under a bench warrant because they are behind in their child support payments, can come in to the office and meet with a case manager without the fear of being arrested.

They will have the opportunity to pay just 50 percent of the bail or suspension amount to have their license reinstated and/or their bench warrant eliminated.  Payments made in this compromise offer may be in cash, money order, cashier’s check or credit/debit card. Parents who are otherwise behind in their payments and would like to discuss their case are also encouraged to take advantage of these special office hours.

Additional services will be available during the event as well: Ask-A-Lawyer, Modification Workshops, Access/Visitation Assistance and Social Work Assistance. The public can call (702) 671-9200 if they have any questions.
