UPDATE: Fellow Texan and current Las Vegas resident Judy Foster Smith is helping turn the terrible start into a fresh beginning for the Coralles family.
"I saw your story last week, I was so moved," she said.
Smith is giving away her mother's items to the Coralles family. Her mother is moving to an assisted living facility and is in failing health.
Helping the Coralles family is helping Smith heal with her mother's health issues knowing her items are going to a loving home.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- Less than a week ago, Jimmy Corrales and his family moved to Las Vegas from Amarillo, Texas.
They say they came to Las Vegas to escape the violence and crime in their small Texas town.
"We want a better environment and better opportunity for our kids," said Jimmy Corrales.
The move was supposed to offer the family a chance to start over and make new memories.
Tuesday afternoon they say they were hoping to enjoy a family fun day at the Adventure Dome, when things quickly went down hill.
"Where the roller coasters were at, they have the view of that parking lot," said Liliana Corrales.
That's when she says Jimmy noticed the truck was missing.
Only in town for two days, they say they haven't had a chance to find an apartment yet and have been staying at Circus Circus where the rental truck was parked.
Inside the truck, the family says was their entire home. Everything from the kids beds to toys and photographs.
Shortly after our interview, the Corrales family got a bit of hope when they received a call from LVMPD that their truck was found.
Hope quickly changed when Jimmy Corrales discovered everything inside the truck was gone.
All that remained was his children's torn up clothes and two kids blankets.
While they know material things come and go what they wanted most, was their kids' pictures, family heirlooms, and sentimental items that can never be replaced.

Circus-Circus released the following statement:
"This is an incredibly unfortunate situation. Our Security staff is cooperating fully as police conduct their investigation. Prior to being contacted by Channel 13, we had not been made aware of the family’s circumstances. We are reaching out now to determine how we can assist them."
