The Nevada Seismological Laboratory and USGS is reporting a 5.0 magnitude earthquake approximately 50 miles west of Tonopah.

The initial earthquake at 5:41 a.m. was followed by two smaller ones measured at 2.9 and 3.3 magnitudes. There will most likely be several smaller quakes or aftershocks.
No damage has been reported at this time.
