One person is dead after a hit-and-run near Charleston Boulevard and Torrey Pines Drive.
The crash happened in the 6300 block of Bannock Way around 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
Police say that a Ford F250 was traveling north on South Torrey Pines Drive when it drove off the roadway and hit a bicyclist. The truck then hit a wall outside a home in the 6300 block of Bannock Way.
The bicyclist was transported to UMC Trauma with critical injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival. The Clark County coroner identified him as 42-year-old Jeremy Clark. He died of multiple blunt force injuries from the crash.
The driver of the truck ran away but was found by police at his home. The driver, identified as Luis Aguilaar-Lujan, showed signs of being impaired and was arrested for driving under the influence and leaving the scene of a crash.
This is the 75th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas.
