Drag queen story time has become popular across the county, including Southern Nevada. However, a planned story time in Sparks has created controversy.
The public library was set to host a story time featuring drag queens for Pride Month.
A majority of the complaints have been lodged by a group named Nevada Family Alliance. They say that it feels the event is an inappropriate usage of taxpayer dollars.
They have been urging patrons and parents to contact Washoe County commissioners.
