LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Lunar New Year kicks off Jan. 25 and ends on Feb. 8.
To celebrate the year of the rat, Downtown Summerlin is hosting their third annual Dragon Parade on Jan. 25.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. and is open and free to the public.

The Lunar New Year is the longest holiday of the year.
Asian-Americans are the fastest growing population in Las Vegas and Filipino's make up the majority.
According to the Asian Chamber of Commerce, population has grown 167 percent since 2000.
