DIRTY DINING: China a Go Go leaves meat in alley

Bins of raw meat and vegetables were left exposed to the elements behind a Henderson Chinese restaurant.

13 Action News cameras caught employees taking that food into the kitchen of China A Go Go on Valle Verde Drive near the 215 Beltway.

"I just watched you unload this cart. It had meat just sitting out here exposed, and you just took it into the kitchen here. You are going to cook that?” 13 Action News asked

"Yeah," the employee responded.

This after birds were seen perched on a nearby rack outside the China a Go Go. Viewer photos showed that rack stocked with prepared food hours earlier.

The employees seen taking the food into the kitchen said there wasn’t a manager at the restaurant to answer our questions.

Staff at the front counter had no answers either, but got on the phone with the manager who showed up half an hour later.

"I've got pictures of it out there three hours before we even got here.  I mean the broccoli and snow peas and stuff that the viewer sent me. That is what I saw,” 13 Action News said.

“I don't think so," Sandra Huang said.

Huang changed her tune after talking to the employees caught on camera. She watched as they dumped several containers of meat.

The manager blamed a larger than normal order to cover a special event.

"There is a whole lot of delivery that is shipping here to the store and we have a small space," Huang said.

The manager saying she lost control while at the large event.

"I apologize. I should handle this type of responsibility," Huang said. "This is a good wake up call. So let me know. Next time I will do better."

The location was inspected by the Southern Nevada Health District in March and received an A rating.

13 Action News sent the health district the same viewer photos we received before heading to the restaurant. The Southern Nevada Health District paid China A Go Go a visit but the results of that visit have not yet been released. We'll be following up as soon as we have the report.

In addition, other China A Go Go locations have been featured on Dirty Dining, including one as recently as January.
